IN ABSENTIA CORPUS
The infrared photography opens new definitions and a new look at the human body and how we perceive it. We can observe elements that are tangible and concrete, but are usually hidden, buried by a reality invisible to our eyes. Infrared rays immortalize translucent bodies, revealing hidden layers, revealing an intricate and complex natural drawing.
Certain images are no longer simple windows that show us visible appearances, nor are they mere interpretations or representations of reality, but they are the result of a set of relationships between visible and invisible, presence and absencet. These images present us with ideas and attitudes that are not readily available in our familiar environments, and that we will need in order to accede to a full engagement with our humanity. Images can trigger, awaken from the torpor of slumbering thoughts within us.
